First time I’m up in the morning. Amazing. Sunny, but cool. Birds singing. Most people at work or still asleep. Morning is a good time.

I had a dream about green machine men pretending to work for the environment.

I’ve been having some interesting dreams lately.

I would like to write out a view passages from my dream journal here, but to make it understandable for you requires too much editing on my part. Since I feel that editing would corrupt the spirit of it, I won’t even try.

I will tell you that frozen and/or ghostly world war 2 airmen have made appearances more than once. Also, recent dreams have a very 80s movie feel – really bad special effects that reminded me of that supercomputer from Superman 3.  In addition, there seems to be a tendency for villians to end up as being lovecraftian monsters of evil technology – I blame Hellboy for this. It seems that my subconsciousness is very tacky as well – it has a fixation on grand LOTR type stories,with GOOD vs EVIL as a running theme. Fortunately, they’ve been sufficiently darkened- my ‘protagonists’ are usually a miserable bunch of misfits. I blame this on everything I’ve ever read/watched or listened to, ever. Finally, there seems to be a lot of traveling happening in my dreams. Inter-dimensional travelling. I’m not sure who to blame for this, but I’m willing to start with the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre as a whole.

I will also tell you that these dreams really feel as if they could fit together to form a very epic, very surreal story.But what sets theses dreams apart from my usual ones is how alien they feel, how detached they are from me. They aren’t MY dreams, they don’t feel like things my mind would come up with. Normal dreams feel like living in a house you’ve spent your life building. These dreams feel like exploring mansions which I’m only visiting.
