The second half of December is now. Christmas! People on Holiday! Rain!
I really need to start doing things again. I’ve stalled a bit.The rain is discouraging. It’s too wet to go anywhere worth going. But today was remarkably dry. Hopefully this will continue.
This is a special time, by the way. Especially now, post-IB. There’s so much to get done, but so few people around. I’m barely seeing most of the people I’ve spent the last 2 years with. It’s very different.
I set a number of goals for my post-IB, pre-Uni life. Mainly things in areas that I have no experience in. Photography, computers and Living off the Land.
Here’s the my plan to achieve computer literacy.
1. Build a Computer.
2. Install and learn Linux.
3. Become an open-source guru
4. ????
5. PROFIT!!!
Note the use of meme to further enhance learning experience.
For photography the plan was..
1. Find and Buy suspiciously cheap camerabv (Mustafas!)
2. Develop an incredibly straightforward method of talking good photos. (Talking photos of flowers is ridiculously easy.)
3. Use this method as much as possible. (Lots of flowers in flickr account)
4. Add Photography to my list of interests, and work photographer into my resume.
As for Living off the Land, I think I’m pretty much failing miserably. Fortunately, I’ve found myself able to get involved in 3 short film projects and 1 scriptwriting project. Two of the films are mostly finished and I’ve done minimal work as a script advisor for one and an an actor/cameraman for the other.
With 2 more projects to go, I’m pretty set till mid-January. Course, for the next two, I’ll be playing a bigger role – which probably means no real work will be done.
Oh. I think I lost myself halfway through this post. I don’t really know what I came here to say, but it certainly wasn’t supposed to be a brief outline of my plans. I suppose I need to get more sleep too.

aren’t you going into the army soon? no news about the film yet, be patient!
